WISPA-CY (Wireless Internet Service Providers Association - Cyprus) is an advocacy organization representing its membership and other companies who are part of the industry ecosystem. The Association promotes the development, advancement and unification of the wireless Internet service provider industry, here in Cyprus.
WISPA-CY has over many members consisting of Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISP's), Municipal Wireless Internet Providers, Regular Internet Service Providers (ISP's), Equipment Manufacturers, Service Vendors, Distributors and other interested parties.These members support the industry which delivers broadband Internet to hundreds of thousands of users via 20+ Internet Service Providers (ISPs) that serve both residential and business customers, often in exclusively rural areas, but also increasingly in the Cities and Towns all over the island.
The goal of WISPA-CY, is the advancement of our industry as a whole, and the ability to lobby the government, namely the Ministry of Communications and Works (and the Department of Electronic Communications) for much needed change in our industry. We also wish to promote a better understanding regarding our industry, and the value of our services in general.
